WORLWIDE FERRY

Aircraft ferrying around the world……..

Professional Aviation Services is proud to quote your ferry to anyplace in the world.  Our global background serves as the starting point for your movement.

Using a combination of recent movement cost analysis, great circle mileage, current winds aloft, fuel prices, overflight, landing, and navigation fees, handling fees, and the maximum range of your aircraft based on book values, we devise and determine a routing that is cost effective and safe.

We are also experts in import and export by virtue of the school of hard knocks!  We have learned our lesson the hard way and will work to keep both of us out of trouble.  We can advise you on all documentation required prior to ferry.  Remember, there is always an import and export.  Agencies that normally need to be addressed (and their counterparts in the other country):

US Customs
US Immigration
US State Department
Transportation Security Administration (TSA) - waiver for foreign pilots

FAA

Our lead pilots have vast current experience and are very familiar with the idiosyncrasies associated with virtually every country in the world.  While we are cognizant of specific published entry requirements, we are also wise to what really takes place.  We have enough stories to fill a book!

Some of the contingencies that we prepare for and consider as “standard operating procedure” are:

  • Unpublished “taxes” and “fees” that seem to arise at the most inopportune time, usually as a prerequisite to your clearance being available.
  • “Problems” with credit card machines that just happen to be “down” requiring cash payment.
  • Availability of credit for fuel.  This can be a big one as there are very few credit cards accepted around the world for fuel.  Depending on the capacity of your aircraft, cash payments can be onerous, logistically difficult, and can often require “new bills” as marked, torn, or dirty currency might not be accepted.
  • Availability of maintenance.  PAS maintains a “little black book” of contacts garnered from experience that can be contacted in the event we have exhausted all local resources.  Our crews all have blackberries and we try to equip each movement with a satellite phone.
  • Known entities.  We try to deal with reputable and prior contacts.  Experience has shown that sometimes it might be better to pay a little more to deal with someone we know versus dealing with the unknown.  We avoid some “known entities”!!!
  • Lastly, our crews are very imaginative, resourceful, and creative.  We recognize the nature of our business and take pride in delivery.  Every movement has a story and when approached with the right frame of mind can be very satisfying for both the crew and customer.

There is a right way and a wrong way to ferry airplanes.  We strive to make your delivery timely, cost efficient, and with the least amount of problems and obstacles.  Our goal is for you to be happy and confident in your choice of ferry provider.
